Building construction - week 38

View of the city through a rough window opening. December 1, 2011

The installation of the roofing system at the roof garden level has begun this week.

Framing and sheathing for the exterior walls is progressing on all sides of the building. The purple sheathing will be all clad in EIFS, for the building's signature design in the Art Deco style. Rough window openings in the framing hint at the majesty of the metal and glass wall system.

Approximately three-quarters of the floor toppings have been poured. The finished floors are colored concrete, a gorgeous, durable finished surface that is both aesthetically pleasing and easy to maintain.
