The Couture concept

The Couture concept January 8, 2009

The third in a series of three, this is a final vignette of life in 1500.

The concept is inspired by all the glamour and elegance of urban living, evoked in one place by the sight of the Capitol Dome through the glass curtain windows at twilight, and in another by a gentleman helping a companion with her coat as they prepare for an evening out in the city.

The residence's minimalistic decor allows attention to be drawn naturally to the stunning cityscape view, framed by high-gloss, blackwood flooring and a spiral staircase leading up to the loft level. The lighter pecan wood of the threshold softens the vividness of this experience. Over the kitchen counter hangs a mobile-like chandelier.

N.B. The view of the Capitol is more than just a fancy--N. 6th Street being at the highest elevation in Midtown, the iconic dome is visible from even street-level.

(Special thanks to BL Companies for the application of their creative talents in the execution of these three vignettes.)
