The first in a series of three, this is a fanciful look at life in 1500.
The concept is dubbed Canopy, as at urban mid-rise heights like the tops of trees, with sunlight shining in through the balcony windows, and a variety of flora inside the living area and on the outdoor garden terrace.
All the furniture and finishes were chosen for natural and earth-tone characteristics--from the bamboo flooring and oaken counter, to the felt sofa and glass table with an inlaid tadpole pool in mosaic. The owner of this residence is an ornithophile, with canaries and parakeets for co-residents.
N.B.: the sprinkler system is a safety feature to be activated only in case of actual emergency, not to simulate a tropical rain.
