We toured eight urban condominium sites throughout Pittsburgh.
The projects we researched were in various stages, from the development stage, to the construction stage, to the post-construction stabilization period, to a sold-out building.
The condominium style of living is unexceptional in Pittsburgh, as in several other mid-Atlantic cities where condo residences come in all shapes and sizes. Our kind hosts, Howard Hanna, have represented these and a number of other urban condominium projects during their proud history as the most prominent real estate services company in Pittsburgh.
We studied common design elements, floor and unit layouts, material selections, building systems, amenity packages, marketing materials, management and maintenance service programs, neighborhood integration design, and so on. Several of the developers and project team members who helped create these buildings were very gracious in meeting us on-site and sharing insights from their experiences.
